Do you ever have a day where you have so many thoughts going on that you can't stop them? I was busy today and busy in the head also. Sick friends, people with issues going on,etc.....Hubby and I visited a sweet little church yesterday. We recently lost a dear friend who went there and we are friends with her family. It was SO uplifting and brought a smile to us many times. There are a lot of elderly people there and they are the sweetest and some quite humorous I might add. They walked over to us and welcomed us with open arms and asked us to please come back. I have to say it sure gave us both a lift and started our week out right. I was looking through some recent photos I took and decided on these. Now you will probably think this is silly but I love these old pot holders I have from my mom. I keep telling her to give me what she doesn't want and the more used the better I like them. Tattered, washed out, pale looking, holes in them, stains that won't come out,etc....I adore them and can't put my finger on why but I bet they can tell some stories about being used. Don't ask me what this has to do with church yesterday other than it made me appreciate how lucky I am to still have my mother with me. It seems I think more about this sort of thing every day.
The floral one is full of holes but I still love itI love chickens

Not silly at all. This is a lovely collection of pot holders.
Potholders obviously take you back to a simpler time when you were a child, maybe? Sue
Morning Vicki, love your old pot holders, mine look the same, well used with love.....I agree, we are blessed to still have our Mothers, Hugs Francine.
Get out of my head! We have done it again. I posted about my Moms quilts! SO glad you enjoyed the church and the people.(The people are the church, duh)lol I love country churches, and mine was a small church that has really grown, but we are still a country church> Have a wonderful day and I LOVE those pot holders. The fingers they have kept from getting burned.
You've made me cry this morning. It's not silly at all. I still use my Aunt's and Mom's pot holders. So many memories are in them. I wonder sometimes how many pans of biscuits they pulled from the oven with them. I miss my Mom each and every day. You are blessed to have yours. Cherish her.
