Some people probably think I am nutty but I love to hear leaves in the fall when they get crunchy..... More work I suppose because we have to mulch them but I still love the time of year....... We have had rain the last couple days and the leaves are now dropping............ It won't be long..............I told hubby we will have to take our yearly drive when all the leaves are turning on the trees....Yellows and Reds...Just beautiful.....Sure makes for a pretty drive.

I have a as I call "sickness" for old things and things that are broke like these old dishes. I know a lot of people would throw them away but I love them and think they tell a story. As a matter of fact the plates shown here were tagged with really old tape and told what pieces were used for what. One of them is labeled "Mama's chicken platter" . I find myself thinking about times of long ago and what was used for what. What a simpler but harder life they had.
